Junior Technical Account Manager

 Your Role

As our Junior Technical Account Manager, you own the technical relationship with strategic partners and integrators. You keep them aligned on product, firmware, software, and API changes; guide implementation; and make sure every integration ships smoothly and on schedule. You combine technical depth with commercial awareness - spotting bundling and product‑placement opportunities while championing what’s important for Shelly and our community.

What makes you a great fit

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • You bring 1 + years in Technical Account Management, Solutions/Pre‑sales Engineering, or Technical Partnerships, ideally in IoT, embedded, or systems integration.
  • You’re fluent in software/firmware concepts and systems integration; you read API docs and speak webhooks, SDKs, and auth (tokens/OAuth).
  • You troubleshoot across the stack — network (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS), cloud, mobile/web — using tools like Postman/curl, logs, and packet captures.
  • You’re comfortable with IoT and integration basics (HTTP/REST, MQTT), OTA firmware, and device lifecycle management.
  • You plan and run predictable release cycles and change management with partners and internal teams.
  • You communicate clearly, translate complex topics for non‑technical stakeholders, and influence decisions.
  • You grow relationships — identifying upsell, cross‑sell, bundling, and co‑marketing opportunities.
  • You manage projects with structure (Jira/Confluence or similar); PMP/ITIL is a plus.
  • You’re willing to travel to partner sites for QBRs, workshops, and negotiations when needed.
  • You are fluent in English; Bulgarian is a plus.

Your Responsibilities

  • You serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned partners and integrators.
  • You run regular communications (status calls, roadmaps, QBRs) and share updates on product line, firmware, software, and APIs.
  • You provide expert guidance and implementation suggestions based on market knowledge and prior experience.
  • You triage issues and drive them to closure end‑to‑end, following up relentlessly and documenting learnings.
  • You collaborate with Sales, Product, Firmware, QA, and Support to deliver seamless integrations.
  • You plan predictable release cycles for partner solutions and control firmware deliveries for partner SKUs/channels.
  • You translate partner needs into clear specs and work with engineering to implement firmware solutions that also fit our community edition.
  • You identify product placement, bundling, and other sales‑related opportunities with the commercial team.
  • You maintain account plans, success metrics, risks, and mitigations, and report progress regularly.
  • You visit industry‑leading partners to present, negotiate scope/SLAs, and advocate for what’s important to Shelly.
  • You champion the partner voice internally while balancing it with Shelly’s roadmap and community standards.
