Role Purpose:
The Accountant Assets and Projects (Intellectual Property) will ensure accurate accounting, reporting, and compliance for tangible and intangible assets related to intellectual property, supporting timely financial close and informed management decision-making.
Core Responsibilities:
Prepare, review documentation, and post journal entries in the accounting system related to the acquisition of tangible and intangible fixed assets- Intellectual Property.
Review of primary accounting documents related to the acquisition of fixed assets in accordance with IFRS, the Corporate Income Tax Act, and the Company’s accounting policies.
Communication and coordination with relevant departments and the research and development team of the Group.
Preparation of reports on acquired and written-off assets and projects, as well as other reports related to the fixed assets and IP projects of the company.
Prepares reports for the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of the company.
Preparation of accounting and tax depreciation schedules.
Preparation and provision of reports and analysis on all fixed assets to management on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Maintains accounting information in accordance with legal requirements.
Assists in conducting audits, whether interim or annual, performed by external auditors and tax authorities.
Accountant Assets and Projects supports the Finance Manager-Assets and is responsible for accurate recording of transactions, reconciliations, and support of the close process.
Qualifications & Profile:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting.
Strong knowledge of IAS 38 Intangible Assets, IAS 16 Property, Plant and Equipment, IAS 36 Impairment of Assets, and IFRS 16 Leases.
Solid understanding of the accounting treatment of tangible and intangible fixed assets. Previous experience in this area will be considered an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to analyse processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Proven ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
High level of professionalism and accountability.
Excellent communication skills in Bulgarian and English.
Microsoft Dynamics/Axapta (D365) experience is an advantage.
Advanced user of MS Office (Excel in particular).
