Role Overview

For a brand-new Shared Service Center, we are looking for an experienced SAP Tech Lead with English to take ownership of the technical SAP landscape for an international organization. In this role, you will oversee SAP architecture, integrations, technical standards, and system performance while working closely with an external SAP support provider and internal stakeholders. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and continuous improvement of the SAP environment. This is a technical leadership position without direct people management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the technical SAP landscape, architecture, and development roadmap.
• Ensure the quality and effectiveness of services delivered by external SAP support partners.
• Review and guide SAP developments, integrations, APIs, and technical solutions.
• Support system upgrades, releases, testing, and deployments.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and coordinate root cause analysis.
• Promote technical standards, security, system stability, and SAP Clean Core principles.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate activities, and optimize the SAP environment.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business needs into reliable technical solutions.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in SAP technical roles.
• Strong technical knowledge of SAP, including ABAP and SAP architecture.
• Experience with SAP integrations, APIs, and cloud integration technologies.
• Previous experience working with external SAP Application Management Services (AMS) providers.
• Knowledge of change management, release management, testing, and production support.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to coordinate technical activities and ensure high-quality delivery across multiple teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP RISE, and SAP BTP.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori, MDG, GTS, BW, Workflow, or SAP Security/GRC.
• Experience with SAP transformation projects or SAP certifications.
• Background in manufacturing or the chemical industry.
