• Administer, maintain, and optimize database systems to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability
• Manage and support databases hosted on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Design and implement database solutions based on business and application requirements
• Manage database users, roles, and permissions, ensuring secure and appropriate data access
• Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures (including cloud-native solutions)
• Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and apply tuning and optimization techniques
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including patching, upgrades, and capacity planning
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security in accordance with company policies and best practices
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolution
• Support development teams with database design, query optimization, and CI/CD deployment activities
• Document database configurations, procedures, and operational guidelines

Изисквания

• Proven working experience as a Database administrator
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL)
• Experience administering databases in cloud environments such as AWS (RDS, Aurora), GCP (Cloud SQL), or Azure (Azure Database)
• Good understanding of cloud networking, security groups, IAM roles, and managed database services
• Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, security, and performance tuning
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Stackdriver/Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus
• Basic scripting skills (Bash, Python) are a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant certification
