For one of our clients - a global law firm, we are looking for a Tax Law Associate to join their team of proffesionals:

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on a broad range of Bulgarian tax law matters, including corporate tax and transaction-related tax issues.
  • Support tax due diligence processes, including reviewing relevant documentation, identifying tax risks, and contributing to due diligence reports.
  • Prepare clear, practical, and commercially focused tax advice and recommendations.
  • Assist clients in interactions with tax authorities, including preparing submissions, responses, and supporting materials.
  • Support corporate restructurings, reorganizations, and transformation projects from a tax perspective.
  • Advise on corporate structures and transformation matters, including spin-offs, transfers of a going concern, core and non-core business separations, and owner or share incentive arrangements.

 

Requirements

  • 1–5 years in tax operations experience gained at a reputable international or strong local law firm or accounting firm is preferred.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Bulgarian or international law degree.
  • Admission to the Bulgarian Bar (or eligibility for admission).
  • Experience assisting with tax due diligence, drafting tax advice and recommendations, and working with tax authorities.
  • Good knowledge of Bulgarian tax law and corporate law.
