Contribution and key responsibilities:
Lead and develop a team of skilled system administrators – set technical direction, define team standards, and foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement
Ensure stability, performance, and availability of the bank’s critical infrastructure across the full technology stack operating 24/7/365
Lead incident response for critical and high-priority events and drive post-incident reviews, turning outages into lasting improvements
Own infrastructure runbooks, Disaster Recovery procedures, and Business Continuity Planning documentation
Lead infrastructure projects end-to-end: migrations, upgrades, capacity expansions, and platform consolidations
Contribute to the multi-year infrastructure roadmap and evaluate new technologies aligned with the bank’s strategic direction
Represent IT Infrastructure in cross-functional initiatives, audits, and regulatory inspections
For efficiency and effective role performance:
7+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure (Linux and Windows)
2+ years in a team lead, technical lead, or senior engineering lead role.
Understanding of ITIL practices (Incident, Change, Problem, and Capacity Management)
Expert-level Linux systems administration (RHEL/CentOS preferred)
Practical experience with Oracle DB operations in an enterprise environment.
Strong understanding of network-layer services (DNS, load balancing, proxy architectures, SSL/TLS)
Experience with Java application servers and middleware platforms (Tomcat, WebLogic, Kafka)
Hands-on experience with virtualization and containerization at scale (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of SAN/storage architecture and enterprise backup strategies.
Experience with identity and access management (Active Directory, LDAP, PAM).
Strong automation skills (Bash/Shell scripting, infrastructure-as-code tooling).
Experience operating infrastructure in a regulated financial or critical infrastructure environment
Practical Disaster Recovery testing experience and ability to translate risk registers into infrastructure action plans
