Project Manager “Industrialization & Logistics”
Location: Bulgaria (new production facility)
Type of engagement: Project-based assignment (6–8 months)
Duration: Short-term, high-intensity project
Reporting to: General Manager
Position Objective
Responsible for the consistent and timely execution of an already developed industrialization and logistics concept for a new production site in Bulgaria. The project requires fast, sustainable implementation within tight deadlines and effective coordination of cross-functional and international teams.
The position is structured as a freelance engagement, without an employment contract.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
- Full operational responsibility for implementing the existing industrialization and logistics concept
- Proactive project advancement with strong focus on timeline, budget, and sustainability of implemented solutions
- Preparation, maintenance, and tracking of a detailed project plan (milestones, dependencies, risks)
Coordination & Leadership
- Coordination of interdisciplinary teams (Production, Logistics, Engineering, Quality, IT, Purchasing, external partners)
- Management of internal and external stakeholders at an international level
- Moderation of project meetings, decision-making, and escalation management
Industrialization & Production Ramp-Up
- Ensuring implementation of the concept across all production lines
- Supporting production start-up until stable serial production phase
- Identifying and resolving start-up issues quickly (hands-on approach)
- Ensuring smooth handover to production and industrialization teams
Logistics
- Implementation of planned logistics processes (intralogistics, warehouse, material supply, interfaces)
- Ensuring required logistics equipment according to the concept
- Securing smooth material flow during production start-up
- Handover of processes to the logistics team
Controlling & Reporting
- Transparent reporting to management and project committees
- Active management of risks, mitigation measures, and progress
- Ensuring adherence to budget and timeline
Requirements & Qualifications
Professional Experience
- Extensive experience as a project manager in industrialization, manufacturing, or greenfield production site setup
- Experience with production ramp-up under high time pressure
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, logistics, and industrial processes
- Experience in international projects; Eastern Europe experience is a plus
Methodological Competencies
- Excellent project management knowledge (classical and/or hybrid approaches)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to drive decisions
- Experience in crisis and escalation management

Languages
- German and English – fluent (business level)
