For one of our trusted clients - an international well - known law company, we are looking for Regulatory Associate with excellent legal skills, who understands regulatory frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on a broad range of regulatory, competition, EU, and administrative law matters.
- Support clients with regulatory filings, compliance projects, submissions to public authorities, regulatory approvals, investigations, and strategic regulatory advisory work.
- Monitor legal and policy developments and assess their implications for clients.
- Advise clients on competition law matters, including merger control, antitrust compliance, and state aid considerations.
- Support clients in designing, implementing, and reviewing whistleblowing frameworks, internal reporting systems, and compliance with EU whistleblower protection requirements.
- Advise on data protection and privacy matters, including GDPR compliance, governance, and risk management.
- Assist clients in interpreting and complying with EU restrictive measures and sanctions regimes.
- Support clients on broader regulatory compliance and corporate governance matters, including the development of internal policies, procedures, and controls.
Requirements:
- 1–5 years experience in regulatory, competition, EU, or administrative law, preferably in international law firms, a strong local law firm, or a regulatory authority.
- Good knowledge of Bulgarian regulatory and administrative law, as well as EU law.
- Experience or strong interest in one or more of the following areas: Foreign direct investment (FDI) screening and control mechanisms at Bulgarian and EU level.
- Admission to the Bulgarian Bar (or eligibility for admission).
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and excellent attention to detail.
- Bulgarian law degree.
