Role Overview:
For a newly established Shared Service Center in Sofia, we are seeking a GL Accountant with English. The role will cover key Record-to-Report activities, including Inventory Accounting, Fixed Assets Accounting, and Lease Accounting. Depending on experience and business needs, the specialist will focus on one of these core areas while contributing to accurate IFRS reporting, compliance, and high-quality financial data.
Responsibilities:
- Perform month‑end and year‑end closing activities within RTR.
- Prepare and post complex journal entries.
- Perform timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monitor inventory movements and analyze variances (COGS, write‑offs, adjustments).
- Support stock valuation, cost adjustments, and inventory provisions.
- Manage fixed assets: capitalization, disposals, transfers, depreciation.
- Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register.
- Apply IFRS 16 for lease accounting (ROU assets, interest, depreciation, remeasurements).
- Maintain complete and audit‑ready documentation and support audits.
- Participate in system improvements, UAT testing, and process optimization initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in General Ledger or RTR accounting.
- Experience in Inventory, Fixed Assets, or Lease Accounting is required.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS standards (IFRS 16 knowledge is an advantage).
- Background in a Shared Service Center or international corporate environment.
- Experience with SAP is required.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong reconciliation abilities.
- Fluency in English (B2–C1 level).
