We are actively seeking a committed and driven Compliance Specialist.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in areas such as anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), sanctions regimes, anti-corruption, antitrust, whistleblowing legislation, and other relevant compliance areas.

  • Conducting screenings of the company’s business partners against sanctions and restriction lists to mitigate compliance risks.

  • Performing due diligence on clients and counterparties, including verification of beneficial ownership, risk profiling, and ongoing monitoring of risk exposure.

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive internal policies, procedures, and compliance monitoring mechanisms to ensure regulatory adherence.

  • Overseeing regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring timely preparation and submission of documentation in compliance with applicable legislation.

  • Conducting comprehensive compliance risk assessments to evaluate the alignment of business processes with relevant legal and regulatory obligations.

  • Monitoring and analyzing regulatory developments at the national and EU levels, providing recommendations for necessary adjustments to company policies and procedures.

  • Designing and delivering training programs to enhance compliance awareness and strengthen regulatory knowledge across the company.

    Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Law, Economics, Finance, or a related field.

  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a compliance-related role, preferably in a financial institution, regulatory authority, or multinational organization.

  • Special Skills: Excellent knowledge of Bulgarian and European legislation related to anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), sanctions regimes, anti-corruption, antitrust, whistleblowing; excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
