Join us as a Test Automation Engineer (Java) and become an integral part of an international team driving test automation across the entire KBC Group. You’ll tackle exciting projects, create automation scenarios using our proprietary toolset, and ensure application quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle. As our Test Automation Engineer (Java), you would have the following responsibilities: 

  • Design and implement robust test automation code using our established frameworks.
  • Drive improvements to our test tools, embracing new technologies to enhance the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate on the implementation of automation strategies for diverse projects.
  • Contribute to proof of concepts and feasibility studies for new automation initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Ensure our codebase supports weekly releases without regression risks.

 

Key competences that will help you succeed: 

  • At least 3 years’ experience in Java development with a focus on automation testing
  • Solid understanding of QA processes and the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Experience testing web services (REST).
  • Hands-on experience with Git version control.
  • Experience with cloud (AWS)
  • Familiarity with Jira/Confluence for task and project management.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.


A significant advantage would be to have: 

  • ISTQB Certification.
  • Experience with Maven or Gradle build tools.
  • Exposure to CI/CD toolsets (Github Actions, Jenkins, Bitbucket).
