Accountant (General Ledger)

Role overview:
For our client, a well-established international company, we are looking for a Accountant (General Ledger) to join their international Finance team in Sofia.

Main Responsibilities:
Perform General Ledger accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records
Prepare and review journal entries
Participate in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities
Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
Review Balance Sheet and P&L accounts
Collaborate with international stakeholders and cross-functional finance teams
Support process improvement, automation and digitalization initiatives

Requirements:
4+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to General Ledger activities, account reconciliations, month-end closing, or financial reporting.
Experience with month-end closing, reconciliations and journal entries
Good understanding of Balance Sheet and P&L
Very good command of English, both written and spoke
Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables
Experience with ERP systems
Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
