Accountant with English or French- 12 month contract

For one of our partners, we are looking for an Accountant to join their Financial team on a temporary contract. The successful candidate will become part of an established team of 5 professionals and will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting by maintaining accounting records, preparing financial statements, supporting audits, and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the General Ledger (GL) and check account balances
- Prepare financial reports like the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss (P&L)
- Take part in monthly and yearly closing activities
- Process transactions such as payments, adjustments, provisions, and leasing operations
- Review margins, differences, and trends
- Make sure all work is accurate and completed on time according to SLAs
- Find issues and suggest ways to improve processes
- Support internal and external audits
- Write down and document accounting processes
- Communicate daily with the Team Leader, internal teams, and international clients
- Help with extra tasks, projects, and sharing knowledge
- Provide backup support for other tasks when needed
- Handle administrative work like timesheets and reports
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
- English B2/C1 level is mandatory (daily communication), French – nice to have
- SAP (ERP system) – mandatory
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Knowledge of US GAAP – mandatory
- Good Excel skills
- Experience working in an international environment / Shared Service Center (SSC) is required
