About The Team:

The Access Control team, which is an empowered product team, aims to provide the best environment for access control partner integrations with XProtect - Milestone’s core product, a Video Management System, that enables the company to be a market leader in the Video Surveillance industry. Today we are a cross-functional team of 8 people, including 4 engineers, and we are currently looking for a new colleague. 

Your typical day at Milestone as a Software Engineer:

• Working as part of an empowered product team in an Agile environment
• Estimating, planning, and implementing technical tasks and user stories
• Development of prototypes or new product functionality based on business priorities and requirements, adhering to the product roadmap
• Influencing architectural and technological decisions
• Designing technical solutions based on feature specifications and participating in code reviews
• Following development best practices and coding standards to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of our products and development process

How you can match 

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience 
• University degree in Computer Science or similar
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset
• Solid understanding of OOP, Design Patterns, Concurrent Programming
• At least 1 year of experience with using C# and .NET
• Ability to ensure code quality, including unit testing, security evaluation and striving for technical excellence
• Experience with microservices, containers, message queues, RESTful APIs, GoLang, or frontend web technologies would be considered an advantage
• Well-developed communication and collaboration skills
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken)

What to Expect From The Interview Process:

We are incorporating our core values, Reliability and Openness into our daily work, hence our interview process is pretty straight forward:

• Initial conversation with the leader of the team (15-20 mins)
• First interview with the engineering manager and a representative from HR
• Second round interviews (2) focused on assessing the technical performance and expertise
• Cognitive and personality assessment
