About the Team 

Global IT provides enterprise solutions to Milestone business and customers. We safeguard and drive the IT Enterprise Architecture, define the IT Solution Architecture, and lead the IT security by defining IT policies and setting guard rails for behavior, acceptable use, and compliance. Our services include software development, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics, digital workplace, end-user support and much more.

As part of Global IT and the Enterprise Platform Delivery department, the Infrastructure Services team designs and builds the company hybrid IT Infrastructure using Agile principles. We are 12 engineers located in Bulgaria and Denmark who are specialized in the core IT Infrastructure disciplines - datacenter, networking, databases, compute, foundation services in Azure and AWS. 

The Infrastructure Services team designs and builds the company IT Infrastructure as a resilient and customer friendly platform.

Your typical day at Milestone as an IT Infrastructure Specialist: 

• Designs and builds the infrastructure and security layers of the company IT platform following the Agile framework.
• Transitions the platform solutions into operations and acts as escalation point. 
• Collaborates with team members from different parts of the organization and creates culture of knowledge sharing and mentorship. 
• Vendor Management in relation to IT Infrastructure components, solutions, and technology consultancy.
• Project management for small scale projects.

How we can match: 

• Extensive experience (designing, configuring, and operating) in at least two of the below areas:
  • Virtualization (preferably Hyper-V). 
  • SAN and storage (preferably HPE Nimble, Dell Power Store). 
  • Operating systems (Windows Server, Linux – RHEL, Ubuntu) 
  • Enterprise backup solutions (preferably Commvault or Veeam)  
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform or other) and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Ansible, other)
• Public cloud – Azure or AWS is beneficial. 
• Experience with Agile development methods is beneficial.
• Successfully completed bachelor's or master's degree in IT or engineering, 
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.

What to Expect from the Interview Process:

• Initial conversation with the leader of the team (15-20 mins) 
• First interview focused on assessing the technical performance and expertise 
• Second interview with the engineering manager and a representative from HR
