Job Description:

As a Functional Analyst Market Risk, you would have the following responsibilities:

  • When setting new products, to make sure to process those products, tackle and handle changes quickly
  • Be able to see what is the impact on the product
  • Need to be sure how does the data must be integrated in the tool
  • Mapping processes  - what the product looks like, integrate the data which is coming from other parties, capture from where the data is coming from, what needs to be adjusted
  • Project's tasks, maintenance tasks
  • Able to dig into the data, challenge parties with the sources coming from
  • ICT métier
  • Be able to translate business requirements towards how it can be integrated in the system, how it can be set it up, being able to make a design

Job requirements

Key competences that will help you succeed:

  • Intense Experience working as a bridge between IT and Business / Product Owners, Business Analyst, System Analyst, Solution Architect and/or other relevant experience 
  • Knowledge of Banking Products, financial instruments and operations, Bank Regulations
  • Know-how of Risk-Reg calculation methodologies and Results interpretations
  • Knowledge of Business Process Modelling:, process modelling, info gathering
  • Knowledge of Functional Modelling: Use Case modelling, Data modelling 
  • Knowledge of SQL, Data modeling and database design (relational data modelling: set up table definitions, define columns, determine data types, determine keys, being able to write queries for design and test purposes)
  • Knowledge to design processes on a batch environment
  • Hands on to deal with a lot of data to extract data, to validate data or to compare files. Knowledge of tools as e.g. Excel, XMLspy, UltraEdit or Access
  • Technical background to understand ETL tooling, script and scheduling processes, to make a design taking the technical constraints into account to make sure it fits in our environment.
  • Setting up a Testplan, being able to coordinate E2E and to execute
  • Experience in Risk-Reg Systems
  • Excellent command of English 


A significant advantage would be to have: 

  • Academic Degree in Finance and/or Financial Risk Management (Banking) and/or Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar 
  • Experience working in our areas of Market Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk, SA-CCR
  • Experience in fintech banking or insurance related software development / vendors
  • Experience with Risk Systems: Algorithmics (ALGO), Integrated Market and Counterparty Credit Risk (IMCR)
  • Experience with software implementations (integration, tooling, retrieving data) to step into the implementation of the model,
  • Analytical skills to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources
  • Strong problem solving and research skills, systems thinking, quick learning, Stakeholder management
