The mission of the Ministry of Tourism is to work for the positioning of Bulgaria as a well-known and preferred year-round tourist destination, with a clearly recognizable identity, preserved culture and nature, occupying a leading position among the tourist destinations in Europe. 

The Ministry's efforts are also focused on the development of specialized types of tourism, ensuring the high quality of the national tourism product and its competitiveness, as well as attracting more tourists.

To this end, the Ministry of Tourism supports and actively participates in various festivals, tourism fairs and conferences at home and abroad. Along with the traditional channels for promoting Bulgaria as a tourist destination, the Ministry promotes the uniqueness of our country by relying on our unique cultural heritage and natural features, the high quality of the tourist products and services offered. As an institution and an employer, the Ministry of Tourism operates in compliance with the principles of legality, openness and accessibility, responsibility and accountability, efficiency and coordination, predictability, objectivity and impartiality.
