Huvepharma, together with its manufacturing company Biovet, has proved itself as a leading European manufacturer in the biotechnology circles with more than 70 years of experience and traditions. The company has more than 10,000 m3 of fermentation capacity, one of the largest fermentation capacities of any company in the world, allocated in its production’s locations – Peshtera, Razgrad, Botevgrad and factories in US and France.

Huvepharma applies biosynthesis (fermentation) to produce active substances, fodder supplements, probiotics and ready-to-use veterinary and human medicine products. The company’s activity covers the whole process – from the product’s research and development, through the production and market sales to the end user.

As veterinary pharmacy trader, Huvepharma Ltd. distributes its more than 95 products in over 100 countries on different continents, ranking in the top ten in the veterinary pharmacy industry. 

New investments and projects are always in the pipeline of the company. Testimony for this constant development is the 2021 joint venture HuveNutra® dedicated to the production of ultra-high-quality plant-based Omega 3 fatty acids oils for livestock nutrition, as well as pet and human nutrition application. Another significant achievement is the 2024 inauguration of a new state-of-the-art vaccine production facility in the city of Razgrad, comprising over 13 thousand square meters, designed as a multi-product facility, adhering to EU GMP requirements. 

Following the highest production standards, the company is committed to responsible environmental stewardship. Investments of 269 million EUR in solar panels, geothermal and green hydrogen installations are underway to advance the company commitment to be carbon neutral by 2030.
