The Commercial Operations Team performs a vital role in the success of the commercial model, taking responsibility for ensuring all contractual agreements are accurately translated into billing schedules, thereby ensuring accurate billing across the UK&I business.

It is the responsibility of the team to facilitate accurate client billing by translating contractual agreements into robust billing schedules for new contracts, as well as monitoring and maintaining the schedules for existing contracts to ensure continued ‘right-first-time’ billing. Rapid detection and resolution of pricing and billing issues is of key importance, using strong relationships with the UK Service and Billing team to ensure we have robust processes and controls to govern the billing process.

Job Description

Here is what your main responsibilities will look like:

  • Create billing invoicing that is aligned to the terms of client contracts
  • Ensure accurate information is provided to Service & Billing team
  • Ensure Commercial Assurance Team Database is kept up to date via standardized process.
  • Monitor client product usage against the terms of their contractual agreements
  • Provide detailed and accurate regular and ad-hoc reporting as per management needs.
  • Support team in developing strong internal processes
  • Work with cross-functional teams in resolving billing and revenue related issues. 
  • Create and maintain process documentation.
  • Complete day to day actives and ad-hoc tasks assigned for the successful team performance 
  • Actively contribute to a culture where the fair treatment of customers is at the heart of the Experian business. 


In order to be successful in your new role, you need to have:

  • 1-2 years of experience on a similar role
  • Experience of working under tight deadlines.
  • Experience of investigating and interpreting deviations from expected financial outcomes.
  • Fluency in English.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access skills.
  • Numerical skills.
  • Strong communicator.
  • An appetite for problem solving and process improvements.
  • An inquisitive and analytical mind.
