Senior Finance Process & Parametrization Expert

We are seeking an experienced Finance Process & Parametrization Expert with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 FO) and a strong background in financial processes. The role focuses on system parametrization, process optimization, and ensuring alignment between business requirements and ERP functionality. The expert will play a key role in configuring, validating, and optimizing the finance modules to support operational and strategic business needs. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the parametrization and configuration of Finance modules in D365 FO (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank, Budgeting, etc.).
• Translate business requirements into functional system setups and ensure proper alignment with finance best practices.
• Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to design, optimize, and document end-to-end finance processes.
• Conduct workshops, gather requirements, and validate functional specifications.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements within the ERP system.
• Work closely with technical consultants, developers, and integration teams to support enhancements and resolve issues.
• Provide guidance and training to key users on finance functionalities and system processes.
• Support testing activities (unit testing, UAT, regression testing) to validate system setups and ensure quality delivery.
• Act as a subject matter expert for financial reporting, process improvements, and ERP-driven automation. 
   

Requirements: 

• Proven experience (5–8+ years) working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (or AX 2012) in a finance-focused role.
• Strong knowledge of finance and accounting processes (general ledger, AP/AR, fixed assets, budgeting, consolidation, tax, etc.).
• Hands-on expertise in system parametrization and configuration of D365 FO Finance modules.
• Solid understanding of financial compliance, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into system solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge between finance teams and IT/ERP teams.
• Finance or accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) is a strong plus. 
  
  Preferred Skills:
• Experience in ERP implementation or rollout projects.
• Familiarity with Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate) for reporting and automation.

• Knowledge of supply chain modules for cross-functional integration is an advantage.
