Job Overview:

The Data Competence Delivery Center at A1 is seeking a proactive Data Platform Coordinator Cloud and OnPrem to advance our Platform Stream. You will coordinate and strategically shape the infrastructure behind our Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, and Artificial Intelligence initiatives—spanning both cloud (Azure) and on-premises (Cloudera) environments. This hybrid role balances technical know-how, project coordination, and platform governance, including SOX compliance and DevOps best practices.

Role Insights:

• Coordinate and drive deployments, upgrades, and daily operations for data platforms based on Cloudera, Kubernetes, Kafka, Spark, and Azure.
• Assess needs and coordinate implementation for new tools (e.g., data quality, data lineage) and strategic platform topics.
• Lead the definition and rollout of DevOps guidelines, such as segregation of duties, access controls, and automation processes.
• Ensure SOX compliance for all systems/services on the platform, including audit preparation, documentation, and review.
• Serve as a liaison between infrastructure, data engineering, BI, and AI teams to promote best practices, knowledge transfer, and delivery alignment.
• Identify technology trends and recommend platform enhancements aligned with business and compliance goals.
• Support incident/problem resolution and continuous improvement initiatives across the platform.

What Makes You Unique:

• Practical experience with major platform technologies: Cloudera, Kubernetes, Kafka, Spark, Azure.
• Good understanding of enterprise data warehousing, BI, and AI infrastructure and tooling.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-team technical projects or operations.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and IT governance (ideally including segregation of duties, automation, CI/CD).
• Experience with or knowledge of SOX or similar regulatory compliance frameworks in IT.
• Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Very good English skills (German is a plus).

Nice to have:

• Experience in rollout or operations of data quality/data lineage tools.
• Familiarity with audit processes, ticketing systems, and change management workflows.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
