About the Role:

The Accounting & Finance Manager will oversee all accounting, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling activities. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to partner with senior management on strategic decisions.

You will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with local legislation, maintaining accurate statutory reporting, and potentially leading accounting and finance operations across international entities.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Compliance:

  • Lead and supervise all accounting activities in accordance with local and international legislation.
  • Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Oversee statutory reporting to relevant Bulgarian authorities (NRA, NSI, tax institutions).
  • Ensure compliance with VAT, Corporate Income Tax, and other tax regulations.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Maintain and improve internal accounting policies, procedures, and controls.

 

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

  • Lead the full budgeting process — annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Conduct financial forecasting, cash flow analysis, and variance analyses.
  • Implement strong controlling processes to ensure cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Provide actionable financial insights for strategic decision‑making.
  • Monitor key financial KPIs and overall business performance.

 

Cash Flow & Operations:

  • Manage cash flow planning and liquidity.
  • Oversee banking relationships and optimize working capital.
  • Monitor and manage company-wide expenses.
  • Oversee Payroll activities.
  • Opportunity to build and lead an Accounting/Finance team as the business grows.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting, including experience as a Senior or Chief Accountant.
  • Strong knowledge of Bulgarian accounting and tax legislation.
  • Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial controlling.
  • Experience with statutory reporting and financial audits.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Leadership capabilities and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail and strong stakeholder communication skills.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and a proactive mindset.
