Job Description

We are looking for an innovative pricing analyst to increase our business's competitiveness and profitability; as well as supporting wider transformation projects to improve and streamline the selling and back office operational practices to enable accelerated future growth.

The day-to-day role will often involve close collaboration with teams across Product & Solutions, Sales, Billing, Finance, IT & Business Operations, Contracting and Commercial and presenting analytical findings with recommendations to Pricing Managers

The ideal candidate will grow with the role as the Pricing team transitions from being primarily tactical advisors to primarily strategic partners.  

You are probably wondering what exactly you’ll be doing:

  • Assess and interrogate data from a variety of sources to identify trends, pricing and market insights and present analysis in a compelling way
  • Translate and communicate complex pricing data and analysis into a format that can be used by Pricing Managers to determine actionable profit-enhancing strategies to be used on large complex deals and the creation/maintenance of price books
  • Apply statistical modelling techniques to help determine pricing strategies
  • Collaborate with teams across multiple functions to assist the development and implementation of dynamic pricing tools and strategies
  • Track customer performance (volumes, waterfalls, billing) as required on an ad hoc basis to aid the development of effective pricing strategies for large complex clients
  • Work closely with Billing team, understand functionality and advise on deal constructs as required
  • Maintain annual review of top 5 price books
  • Provide analytical support in the development of user centric and automated pricing tools

Qualifications

We look for you to bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or in a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role analysing and presenting complex pricing to relevant stakeholders at management level
  • In-depth knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis
  • Experience of pricing data and software products within a B2B environment desirable
  • Advanced Excel skills (macro level) 
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and desire to continuously drive data quality improvements
  • Demonstrable commitment to deliver results in a project-based environment
  • Strong business acumen; understands key business, financial, commercial drivers
  • Proven experience to work cross functionally with teams outside Pricing
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately often to tight deadlines set by customers
