We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our growing IT Infrastructure Team in Sofia. The team provides out-of-hours cover on a rota basis and it is expected that the successful candidate would join the rota following an initial onboarding with the team.

 

Your daily routine would include: 

• Managing a large number of Oracle DBs for our internal needs and for our business clients;
• Ensuring Oracle DBs lifecycle management;
• User creation, expansion, troubleshooting and performance tuning;
• Performing tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity;
• Altering storage structures to meet the evolving needs of the company;
• Managing Backups and Recovery scenarios;
• Ensuring all DBA documentation produced is to required standards;
• Working with stakeholders on DB support;
• Ensuring SLA's and operational KPI’s are met within a 24/7 Operation.

We’ll know you can make it if you have: 

• Minimum 3 years of previous working experience in a similar position as a Database Administrator;
• Experience with Oracle DB installation, configuration and administration;
• Familiarity with Oracle database design, coding, and documentation;
• Experience with database monitoring, troubleshooting and performance tuning;
• Basic experience with Linux servers in both physical and virtualized environments;
• Basic experience with Cloudera (HDFS, Spark, Kafka);
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
