Job Description

Empower Plus Lead will be responsible for the drive and execution of Empower Plus programme and tools implementation in GFS. This would include leading on and supporting culture of continuous improvements within the team; delivering framework for programme implementation, monitoring and promoting the programme within new team starters and management. On a long-term basis the Empower Plus Programme Lead will be able to identify areas for process efficiency and improvements by working closely with Continuous Improvement and Training leads, Teams managers, Head/s of Finance center as well as internal stakeholders and oversee Sustainability of the programme.

Organisational and reporting objectives:

·       Propose framework and plan for programme ongoing delivery and objectives settings (e.g. define capacity needed, resources, expertise); identify main stakeholders and roles to support Empower Plus programme.

·       Act as a project manager and contact person for the programme upon specific initiatives (e.g. implementation, results review, objectives setting, etc.)

·       Deliver on Empower Plus programme by ensuring each team is progressing with their plan activities.

·       Understand teams’ performance and KPI measures (e.g. productivity, iTime, utilisation) to identify opportunity for improvement.

·       Organise relevant catch up meetings with Coaches and team leaders to track progress and report on the EmPower Plus sustainability & maturity. Highlight areas that need attention and action plan to improve.

·       Ensure teams are recording problem solving sessions in and opportunities and documenting action plan. Potential projects to be identified and registered as EmPower project if fitting requirement.


Coaching activities and support:

·       Work closely with and partner Finance center leaders to enhance programme relevance, awareness and support.

·       Engage team members, team leads and new starters to deliver on programme long-term objectives that enhance GFS efficiency and continuous improvement.

·       Setting the right example - attending huddles, providing positive challenge, positive reinforcement and supporting continuous improvement activities.

·       Check that huddles and standards are being followed through managers and teams’ members. Observe and provide feedback to each team on what went well and how to improve huddle.

·       Support and partner to GFS leads and project leads on Continuous improvement programme for the financial year so that objectives are met and engagement levels are maintained.

·       Catch up with and support Coaches to identify key areas for improvement and challenges.


Other activities:

·       Casual catch up with CI leads and managers to talk about EmPower Plus, challenges they are facing, support they need, etc. For Coaches to identify areas of improvement to sustain EmPower Plus and CI.

·       If requested, help facilitate problem solving sessions and introduce problem solving tools for future sessions. Teams are encouraged to request for inter-team facilitation to avoid facilitator influence in the flow of the discussion.

·       Training will be offered based on teams’ maturity assessment. Training will be based on the elements of Perform and focused on smaller groups for better engagement.

·       Individual/Team Coaching - by request or observation, offer coaching to help develop soft skills, techniques to facilitate workshops/discussions or project progress guidance.
