Derivatives Operations Analyst

Job Purpose and Impact

The Derivatives Operations Analyst is responsible for optimization and execution of moderately complex daily financial operations and financial services activities ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external business partners on day to day business operations and drive continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform daily operational activities including trade matching, reconciliations, position management and life cycle events.
  • Act as a key liaison with traders, functions, external business partners and other internal and external counter parties to manage operational tasks, communicate and address issues.
  • Monitor and run system processes, including the end of market and end of day processes for exchanges, report and extract generation, system feeds, reference and static data, error analysis and remediation action.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal control standards.
  • Prepare and analyze financials, metrics and reports.
  • Suggest improvements or new developments to mitigate risks, reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Изисквания за длъжността

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in exchange listed futures, options and over the counter cleared derivatives and other relevant financial instruments on commodities
  • Experienced in leveraging financial and business systems to monitor business activities and aid in decision making
  • Confirmed system and operational knowledge in the end to end trade flows and trade life cycles of exchange listed futures, options and over the counter cleared derivatives from trading to clearing and all post trade activities
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience

Qualifications & Skills

  • Academic background in Finance & Accounting or Economics – preferable in the 3rd or 4th year or recent graduate
  • Very good written and verbal English skills
  • Interested in working in an ambiguous environment and with colleagues located in a remote office
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, execute and track progress
  • Fluency in another foreign language is an advantage
