We are currently looking for Storage Technician L2  to join a newly created team of professionals!

Responsibilities:

• Report performance, efficiency, and capacity measurements
• Netapp basic architecture of data writing, NDMP, NAS Architecture and its implementation
• SAN/NAS space provisioning, Allocation ; reclaiming of storage space on various storage and maintenance.
• Vendor Management for hardware failure and firmware upgrade activity on storage and FC switch.
• Performance monitoring of storage; SAN switches.
• Configure all kind of Database (oracle, SQL, DB2 etc.) backups and restores in TSM.
• Configure backups on Veeam, Networker
• Configure Backups for Virtualization Software Like VMware; HyperV.
• Creating and modifying backup policies and configuring new and existing backup client’s agent Veeam, Networker and TSM.
• Troubleshooting backup failures and taking appropriate steps.
• Upgrading and patching the Backup servers.
• Proactively stay up to date with all the latest technologies concerning Veeam products and the underlying technologies.
• Support of backup clients for multiple operating systems (Windows, RHEL)
• Perform regular system maintenance, including Incident solving, Change implementation.
• Complex backup scheduling maintenance also includes helping solve complex problems related to operating system, databases, middleware, or applications teams.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of storage NAS and SAN and its related TCP/IP, NFS, ISCSI, FP, FCPIP, FCOE protocols
• Hands on Working experience of 5 years minimum in NetApp storage and experience on SAN is a must.
• Minimum 2 years of Hands-on experience working on C-DoT OnTap version.
• Experience in creating NFS volumes and CIFS shares on both 7-Mode and C-DoT filers and managing its Windows and UNIX permissions.
• Good understanding of multi-protocol volumes and permissions
• Additional skills in Storage Management Tools, such as: Data Fabric Manager, Protection Manager, Report performance, efficiency, and capacity measurements
• Excellent skills in maintaining and producing documents.
• Excellent knowledge in Active Directory
• Good knowledge about file management
• Network attached systems (NAS), NFS, SMB protocol.
• Very good knowledge on NetApp performance troubleshooting, migration, and handling escalation
• Experience in creating NFS volumes and exporting them to servers on both 7-mode and C-DoT filers.
• Strong background in Snapmirror, Snapshots, SnapVault and Snapdrive technologies.
• Netapp basic architecture of data writing, NDMP, NAS Architecture and its implementation
• Experience in performing filer level and Vfiler level migrations.
• Strong background of UNIX/LINUX and Windows administration – Preferred
• Hands on experience in managing and administrating EMC VMAX, VPLEX, and VNX systems.
• Experience in Remote and Local replications in EMC storage environment
• Good understanding of Problem & Change Management Process and Procedures.
